Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is the heart of our school community — parents working together to support our children and strengthen our school. We build connections, raise funds, and create opportunities that make every child’s school experience brighter and more enriching. None of this would be possible without parent volunteers — their ideas, energy, and involvement keep our school community strong. With their support, our school becomes a place where students can truly thrive.
June 1st to 5th - details below
THIS WEEK
FRIDAY MAY 29TH
Canyon Cup is Friday May 29th!
🏀 Ask your kiddo what colour they are or check in with your teacher if you need clarity. ⚽️
☀️☔️ Make sure they dress for the weather and are wearing runners! 🏃👟
🍎🌳 This is an at school event during school hours, but we are looking for parent volunteers to help in the morning. If you are available, please say something in this chat and someone will direct message you with details. Thank you! ⚽️🏀
BOTTLE DRIVE - MAY 30th 12pm to 2pm
NEXT WEEK IS…Bike, Walk, Roll to school week!
Bike, Roll, Walk to School Week! Happening June 1-5
Daily Check-ins
Students are asked to check in each day on the blacktop behind the school.
At check-in, students will:
• Find their division sign in sheet, print their first name and check off if they biked, walked or rolled (scooter, rollerblades, wheelchair or other) to school.
• Stick a tracking sticker on the master tracking poster
• Fill out a ballot to be entered into the daily prize draw
• Get access to daily giveaways
Live out of Catchment? No problem!
“Drive to 5” (~ideally, park at least 2 blocks away from the school) and then bike, walk or roll the rest of the way. This still counts and these students are encouraged to participate!
Taking the bus to school also counts!
Classroom Prizes
• Classroom prizes for the divisions that have the greatest number of trips during the week.
• The top two classrooms in each of primary and intermediate with the highest participation (measured by total daily check-ins over the 4 days) will win prizes. Classroom winners will be announced on *Monday, June 8th
Bike Parking
Please bring a bike lock or buddy up with a friend to lock your bike securely.
• Bike parking areas will be identified by balloons tied to the railings and fences to which bikes can be locked
• Parking options for bikes are as follows:
o Front chain link fence and bike racks next to the south teacher’s lot
o Chain link fences outside the gym doors onto the blacktop
o Fences and railings along the west side of the blacktop
o Bike racks by the primary playground
Get out, get active, and have fun!
