Canyon Heights Elementary School

Hosted by the Canyon Heights Parent Advisory Council, we are pleased to bring together our school and local community to discuss and identify solutions to the road safety and parking issues on Highlands Boulevard and the local roads around Canyon Heights Elementary School.

We have confirmed that a representative(s) from the following groups and organizations will be joining us for the event:

  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police
  • District of North Vancouver – Transportation
  • North Shore Safety Council
  • ICBC - Road Safety
  • North Vancouver School District – Operations representative(s)

Please also remember – dogs are not permitted on school grounds (a NV district bylaw).

We have been lobbying the district, including speaking to mayor and council, for additional safety support and we have made great headway. We have been approved for a crossing light at Highlands/Handsworth, new white delineators have been placed next to the crosswalk, we have an additional crosswalk coming North/South at Belvista Dr., and much more. More safety updates to come soon.
