Each and every parent is a member of the School PAC. There is also an elected board of volunteers that make up the PAC executive team. The efforts of the PAC are focused on fundraising, social events, parent education, safe routes to school, communicating with parents, volunteer opportunities and more. Here are the current members of the executive team
Hello there! I’m Stephen and I’m very excited to serve as one of our PAC Co-Chairs for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 school years.
I'm really looking forward to doing everything that I can to help our PAC further strengthen our amazing Canyon Heights school community and provide our students with the best possible learning (and fun) environment.
My role as Co-Chair along with Stephanie is to help lead our dedicated PAC executive team, be a liaison between parents and our school staff/administration, and to oversee the activities and administration of the PAC.
My professional background is in media and communications, with a bit of politics mixed in... I was a journalist for a long time on radio and television, did a stint in the Provincial Government, and I now run a Government Relations and Communications agency.
My wife Rebecca and I have two daughters at Canyon Heights and you'll find us pretty regularly at morning drop-off with our golden retriever, Molly. Please don't hesitate to come over or reach out and say hello!
Hi! I’m Stephanie and I’m serving as one of your two PAC Co-Chairs for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 school years.
I joined the PAC to help make the school year fun and memorable for our kiddos, build a sense of community, and help make Canyon Heights the best possible place for our kids to learn and grow.
My role as Chair is to lead our amazing PAC exec team, to ensure our activities align with school and PAC objectives, and to be a liaison between parents, staff and school administration.
I have two young daughters at Canyon Heights. We love this community and in our free time you can find us skiing or hiking the north shore trails with our dog, Bo.
My name is Vanessa, and I am your Events Coordinator for the PAC Exec Team. Having had the privilege of being the PAC Co-Chair during the 2022-2024 school years, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with our amazing team! As a parent of two young children at the school, my goal is to continue building our "Canyon Heights Crew" over the years to foster a sense of belonging for all the kids! Let’s make the upcoming years fantastic for our kids and our Canyon Heights community!
Hi my name is Erin and this is my first year as the PAC treasurer. I joined the PAC when I heard how much it supports the school and wanted to see how I could help. My role is to oversee all aspects of the PAC’s finances and help the executive committee on decision making …most importantly how to best spend the hard earned fundraising profits! I love living on the North Shore, kids’ jokes and perfectly reconciled spreadsheets!
Hi, I’m Lindsay, the new PAC Secretary at Canyon Heights Elementary. I have a son in Grade 2 and a daughter in Grade 3, who both keep me on my toes! As Secretary, I’ll be taking notes, keeping everyone in the loop, and helping out with fun PAC events. I’m excited to jump in and be part of this amazing school community!
I joined the PAC to meet other parents in our community, and to support our school's fundraising efforts. Volunteering for Hot Lunch is a great way to meet other parents and to catch a glimpse of daily life inside our busy school. Plus you get an extra hug from your kids during their school day!
I have two sons, one in grade 5 and my eldest has just started at Handsworth. We love living on the North Shore and enjoy spending time walking our dog Jasper along the incredible trails on our doorstep, paddle boarding in Deep Cove and cycling around the neighborhood.
Hello… I’m Mona and I am coordinating fundraising programs that help provide funds to the school in order to support student and teacher goals in the areas of enriching the lives or our students.
My two boys go to Canyon Heights and they both LOVE it there. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing community in North Vancouver. I love working with women entrepreneurs, specially mom entrepreneurs in my business and entrepreneurship is a fascinating world to me, it turns the invisible visible.
I am delighted to be on the PAC team and if you have any ideas or you want to help out, feel free to contact me.
My name is Amanda O’Reilly, and I am serving as this year’s District PAC representative. I am looking forward to being able to share important and exciting updates from district meetings, and relaying those back to our wonderful Canyon Heights community.
With my oldest two currently at Canyon Heights (Grade 3 and Kindergarten), and my youngest not far behind them, this school truly has become a second home for us and we are so grateful to be a part of it!
Hi I’m Julie, I serve as the schools Volunteer and Events Coordinator.
I am also an art teacher and run after school art programs, work shops and the occasional in class art instruction for some of the teachers. I have three girls in the school and they’re already embarrassed to see me at school as much as they do. So naturally I joined the PAC September 2022 to embarrass them even more.
Hoping to help bring some fun and build a close school community through great events put on by our talented team and many wonderful parent volunteers.
Looking forward to the year and what our team and parents can do to continue to benefit our school and our kids.
As Communications Coordinator, I try to ensure that our PAC can easily communicate with all the parents through the website, emails and social media.
